Violation of listing rules: Major stock exchanges, BSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) have imposed a penalty of Rs 11.22 lakh on Adani Green Energy for default in compliance with listing rules. Both the stock exchanges have equally imposed a fine of Rs 5.61 lakh each. This Adani Group company has also clarified that they have appointed two new independent directors, effective from September 7.

Compliance with SEBI Regulations: Adani Green Energy is now in full compliance with Provisions 17(1) and 19(1) of the SEBI Listing Rules. Provision 17(1) deals with the composition of the board including the appointment of women directors. Provision 19(1) deals with the constitution of ‘Nomination’ and ‘Remuneration’ Committee.

Decline in stock market performance: Adani Green Energy shares have seen a decline. The stock fell 1.33% to close at Rs 914.35 on the third trading day of the week. The market capitalization of the company is Rs 1,44,836.01 crore.

September quarter results: Adani Green Energy’s profit increased by 149% to Rs 371 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year from Rs 149 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. The total income of the company also increased to Rs 2,589 crore during this period, which was earlier Rs 1,684 crore. Electricity sales also increased from 306.7 crore units to 573.7 crore units.
